"It is not enough just to assess an installation’s impact on the environment; one must also assess the impact of a changing environment on the installation. Then, as much as possible, the impact of that change must be integrated into planning and countered."– Cleo Paskal, Columnist

Ways to participate in the Symposium

Individuals

As an individual there are three ways of participating in the Symposium i.e. as a delegate, through a poster session or through theme participation.

Participate as a delegate: The Symposium is intended as an interactive event offering the opportunity of dialogue among delegates, presenters and theme leaders, through various formats including, for example, panel discussions and world café tables. If you have experience and ideas concerning mitigation and adaptation to climate change you are encouraged as a delegate to share your knowledge and contribute to the dialogues at the Symposium.

Participate with a Poster: The Symposium programme includes an open poster session. Delegates wishing to contribute with a poster are invited to contact Lise Kirk Nordensgaard (lisekirk@plan.aau.dk) and submit an abstract of maximum 150 words. Deadline for submission is 1 September 2010 and we will provide our feedback by 30 September 2010.

Participate as a presenter: If you wish to contribute to a theme, you are welcome to contact the respective theme leader(s) to discuss options for participating as presenter (or panellist). In principle all presenters need to submit an abstract to the theme leader, but abstract requirements, paper necessities, etc are theme specific. Detailed information can be found under each theme here: Themes and theme leaders

The theme leader makes decisions on acceptance and format and communicates with you as a presenter and/or panellist. To enrich the focus and the substance of the Symposium outcomes, please make sure you are right on target when you select your theme.

Institutional participation

If you are an institution and wish to participate (e.g. exhibition stand, special session, etc.) please contact us for information.
